"Always Ready, Always There."
The National Guard is a dual state-federal force that includes the Air National Guard and the Army National Guard.
National Guard "Citizen Soldiers" are volunteers in the truest sense of the word: "A Volunteer is a person who gives, bestows or performs a service... willingly." And, they take pride in acting FAST - sometimes mobilizing in just days or even hours!
National Guard Citizen Soldiers have recently come to the rescue for victims of killer tornadoes that tore through the Southeast, and victims of "The 100 Year Flood" in Hawaii.
